Your Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the development and execution of sonnen Group - Global Category Procurement strategy for products, transportation and services.
- The successful candidate will lead a team of 7 Category Managers and 1 Should Cost / Value Engineer and EMS category.
- Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
- Analyze current operational processes and performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Responsible to deliver on the business Operating Plan for safety, quality, productivity, cash, on-time delivery, as well as single and sole source elimination across the supply base
- Build global comprehensive strategic supplier relationships while also developing negotiation strategies to achieve stated goals and objectives including deflation & capacity
- Drive supplier selection, development, and monitoring and overall supplier management in accordance with the broad sourcing strategy
- Work closely with operations, technology and commercial leadership teams to ensure early supplier engagement, reduce enterprise risk as well as improve inventory turns, fulfillment and cost performance of the supply chain
- Maximize efficiency, productivity and continuous improvement through extensive process analysis and interdepartmental and global collaboration
- Drive 100% compliance to sourcing policy and procedures, supplier approval, competitive bidding, contract management and delegation of authority approval
- Build a smart supply base to include local to local country focus, geo political risks, sufficient capacities optimize total landed cost-out across all commodities and services
- Integrate and develop continuous improvement processes in the sourcing organization.
- Strong participation in Growth Budget planning, and Operating business plans
- Drive sustainability and maximize the opportunities within categories.
What you will need on that journey:
- Masters degree in Engineering, Business Administration or comparable
- Demonstrated technical aptitude and business acumen
- 3-5+ years of experience in Program Management, Supply Chain Management experience with emphasis on sourcing and manufacturing
- Proven leadership skills preferably leading & managing cross-functional teams. Strong team builder & humility empathy
- Demonstrated experience leading in a matrix global environment
- Ability and desire to contribute to business direction, strategy & execution
- Demonstrated negotiation skills, contract development & business law knowledge
- Highly motivated/results/metrics driven with demonstrated influencing skills
- Must be a proactive self-starter & change agent
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in English and German
