The "ECU" (Electronic Control Unit) team develops the control unit of each sonnenBatterie. The most important tasks are conception, planning, development and maintenance of the software. The team works according to the agile methods of the SCRUM framework. A team consists of architects, software developers and software testers. The colleagues work remotely or from our locations in Atlanta (Georgia), Málaga (Spain) and Wildpoldsried. 

 

As part of the "ECU DevOps" team, you will support the software development department in their tasks. We are responsible for bringing the developed software to the sonnenBatteries of our customers. In the DevOps team we also take care of the early detection and documentation of problems with new software versions on customer systems.  

 

 

What you will do to help drive energy transition:

 

  • You are the interface between the development department and IT
  • You will further develop Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) automation. (GitLab, Jenkins)
  • You oversee the monitoring and further development of the monitoring tools for our sonnenBatterien
  • You analyze and identify problems in the field by means of monitoring and escalate them to the specialist departments

 

 

What you will need on that journey:

 

  • You are proficient in at least one scripting language, e.g. Python or Bash
  • You have experience in the area of CI/CD (GitLab, Jenkins, Docker) as well as with Linux systems
  • You already have experience with databases and ideally with data engineering and data processing
  • Experience with monitoring tools (like Zabbix or Sentry) as well as experience with ELK stack is desirable
  • Fluency in English and ideally German
