What you will do to help drive energy transition: 

 

  • Develop an understanding of the supplier landscape in your category in order to forecast industry trends and gauge emerging competitive forces. Identify changes in buyer and supplier power within core materials markets and use industry dynamics to sonnen’s advantage and competitiveness. Build a world-class supplier strategy within your category

  • Effectively work with suppliers to negotiate optimal terms for sourcing. Understand the trade-offs between cost, volume, and quality in order to strike agreements that meet sonnen’s performance criteria and secure long-term supply continuity

  • Optimize global supply chain performance through cost analysis and benchmarking. Develop an in- depth understanding of value-added manufacturing processes and costs, reverse logistics, and market intelligence, and apply this knowledge to influence sonnen’s future product roadmap and sourcing decisions. Assess and mitigate risks to the business

  • Collaborate across the sonnen’s organization and manage cross-functional teams to ensure business objectives are met. Includes the ability and communicate findings to senior leaders and to actively identify potential supply issues that can affect product strategy

 

What you will need on that journey:

 

  • Technical and/or commercial studies and technical knowledge in electronic and/or related areas

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a procurement-focused role in a manufacturing company

  • Experience and skill in negotiating, contracting, report building and suply base research

  • A strategic mindset, relationship-building skills and analytical skills

  • Strong communication skills in English and German, both verbal and written

  • Working knowledge of ERP-Systems (SAP)
