As the Team Lead Frontend App Engineering, you will lead a team of mobile and web frontend engineers. You will guide the team in creating the best Customer Experience for sonnen’s digital products, helping sonnen scale. Your role is to mentor and support your engineers, ensuring their professional growth and team well-being.

 

What you will do to help drive the energy transition:

 

  • Guide and support engineers in your team to overcome challenges and improve their skills.
  • Oversee hiring and growth of the team, focusing on people development and career paths.
  • Coach your team to enhance quality, improve outcomes, and drive technical alignment and growth.
  • Advise on architectural decisions to ensure robust and scalable solutions.
  • Get involved in solving bugs, addressing quality issues, and conducting code reviews.
  • Lead the implementation and adoption of the design system to maximize collaboration between designers and engineers.
  • Work closely with the VP Customer Experience Development and other team leads in product, engineering, and creative teams.

 

What you will need on that journey:

 

  • 5+ years of experience leading frontend engineering teams and owning the development of mobile and web applications with a large codebase.
  • Excellent communication skills to mentor and coach team members, with the ability to motivate your team to grow and perform using an “Eyes on, Hands off” mentality.
  • Strong understanding of clean code, clean software architecture, client and server-side rendering, mobile hybrid technologies, micro-frontends, and event-driven, functional, and reactive programming.

  • Proven track record of developing products with React Native and React, with a solid understanding of Swift, Android Java, TypeScript.

  • Hands-on experience with growing systems across products, familiarity with DesignOps, GitLab, and GitHub, and proficiency in various testing strategies and CI/CD processes for applications and components.
  • Ability to comfortably express your ideas and arguments in good spoken and written English; additional languages are beneficial.
