sonnen is Europe’s largest producer of battery storage solutions for solar energy, with their sonnenBatterie, focused on households and expanding to industry usage. With the company headquarters in Wildpoldsried (Germany), you will work in a distributed team from our office in Málaga (Spain).

 

The “ECU” (Electronic Control Unit) team develops the control unit of each sonnenBatterie. The most important tasks are conception, planning, development and maintenance of the software. The team works according to the agile methods of the SCRUM framework. A team consists of architects, software developers and software testers located in Atlanta (Georgia), Málaga (Spain) and Wildpoldsried (Germany). As part of the “ECU Core” team, you will work with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Managers to handle teams’ performance, handling of projects inside the team and taking care of team spirit and performance. We are also responsible of critical processes and teams’ organisation.

 

As a Team Coordinator, you’ll lead a team focused on Power Electronics Firmware development, driving both product delivery and team performance. You’ll optimize agile processes, foster collaboration, and ensure smooth daily operations. Working closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and Managers, you will help align the team with company goals while ensuring strong communication across locations.
In addition to managing tasks and timelines, you’ll coach team members, playing a key role in creating a motivating work environment. You’ll be a point of contact and reference, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with strategic objectives.

 

What you will do to help drive energy transition:


•    Optimize agile practices to enhance team efficiency and self-management.
•    Coach and mentor team members, fostering growth and development.
•    Track KPIs to ensure alignment with goals and continuous improvement.
•    Promote team building, onboarding, and training initiatives.
•    Ensure strong communication between teams across multiple locations.
•    Address team challenges and implement solutions to improve performance.

 

What you will need for the journey:   


•    Successfully completed studies, preferably in the fields of (business) informatics, (business) engineering, or a comparable degree
•    Live the agile values and principles and be a role model. 
•    Deep knowledge of Agile (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean) teachings and capable of helping teams to address dysfunctions that may result from teams misinterpreting, ignoring, or rejecting Agile and Lean values and principles.
•    Believe that a culture of responsibility, self-organization, and trust makes a decisive positive difference
•    Approach changes openly and with a positive attitude: we work in a very dynamic environment with frequently changing requirements and priorities
•    Have already gained at least 2 years of professional experience leading people
•    Be thirsty for knowledge, expand existing knowledge and acquire new knowledge. You share your knowledge openly and gladly with others
•    Passion and eagerness to coach and guide people being of a highly empathic and convincing nature
•    Exceptional analytical and communication skills
