What you will do to help drive the energy transition:

 

  • Development of innovative sonnen products by designing mechanical parts and assemblies according to specifications including different materials and manufacturing processes 

  • Responsible mechanical engineer for the whole development process from concept phase to serial production focusing on the ease of manufacturing and installation of the products 

  • Identification and implementation of new technologies into our future products 

  • Responsibility for creating relevant documents like 3D files, 2D drawings and BOMs 

  • Close collaboration with colleagues of the cross-functional project team as well as external partners 

  • Optimization of serial products regarding costs and technical aspects  

 

What you will need on that journey:

 

  • University degree in mechanical engineering or comparable 

  • Experience (+3 years) in the production-oriented development of metal and plastic parts, including the creation of drawings 

  • Experience (+3 years) in the development of installer-friendly assemblies consisting of components of different materials and manufacturing processes 

  • Basics in project management and a holistic view of technology, deadlines, costs  

  • Confident handling of SolidWorks and PDM system 

  • Confident handling of MS Office applications 

  • Independent, systematic, self-reliant way of working 

  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. 

  • Teamwork and strong communication skills 

  • Fluent in written and spoken English 

  • Willingness to travel
