At the earliest date possible, we are looking for support for the Device Tool Team. This tool equips our internal service teams with a state-of-the-art platform to identify, diagnose, and resolve device-related issues, ensuring our customer care agents can swiftly react to unexpected behaviors of our hardware landscape, including sonnen batteries, chargers, and heat pumps.

 

As a Frontend Ruby on Rails Developer, your key role is to enhance the user experience of the Device Tool, by infusing your technical expertise into the product development process. You'll closely collaborate with a UX/UI designer, aiming to improve issue resolution speed, boost user adoption, and enhance data security. Your responsibilities include active participation in a fully stacked scrum team within a remote work setup, with occasional in-person workshops for effective communication and brainstorming.

Additional Technical Details:

  • Our application is built on Ruby on Rails and Hotwire
  • Our APIs are based on REST and are documented with Swagger.
  • The infrastructure is hosted on Hetzner, and we use GitLab pipeline.
  • For quality control, we have a PR Review Process in place.
  • Our monitoring tools include Elastic APM, elk.sonnen.de and Sentry for error reporting.

About you:

 

  • You have +5 years of experience in developing software using Ruby on Rails.
  • You have excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • You are adept in implementing UI/UX Web Designs provided by a designer in Figma.
  • You are excellent at using the Bootstrap Framework for building responsive layouts.
  • You have experience with Turbo Frames, Stimulus.js, and Highcharts.
  • You are well-versed in using Git for version control.
  • You produce clean and readable code.
  • You are outspoken and collaborate well within development teams.
  • You are open to receiving feedback through code reviews.
  • Excellent English language skills are a must-have, while fluency in German is a plus for effective team communication.
