For our location in Cairo, we are looking for an experienced  IT Controlling, Cost & Value Manager, to play a critical role in supporting our journey toward a sustainable and energy-efficient future by ensuring effective financial management of our IT operations. 


What You Will Do to Help Drive Energy Transition:

 

  • IT Financial Controlling: Manage all IT-related controlling aspects, including cost monitoring, financial analysis, and variance reporting. Regularly report financial data, including budget adherence, exceptions, surpluses, and gaps, to the IT leadership team and Finance & Controlling.

  • IT Procurement Oversight: Oversee IT procurement and purchasing processes, ensuring that all acquisitions align with our strategic goals and budgetary constraints. You will review purchase requests, negotiate with vendors, and ensure compliance with financial guidelines and policies.

  • IT Budget Management: Lead the development and management of the IT budget, including gathering necessary input from stakeholders, forecasting future spending needs, and providing actionable insights for cost optimization.

  • Software Asset and License Management: Collaborate with IT stakeholders to manage software assets and licenses, ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory requirements. Regularly audit software usage, identify unused licenses, and recommend cost-saving measures.

  • Cost Optimization: Identify opportunities to optimize IT spending, propose cost-saving measures, and implement financial strategies to enhance value creation and cost efficiency across IT operations.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including IT, Finance, and Procurement teams, to align on budgetary and financial strategies, policies, and procedures.

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present regular financial reports and dashboards to senior management, providing insights on IT spending trends, cost drivers, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Budget Planning and Forecasting: Lead the annual IT budgeting process, including gathering input from various departments, analyzing trends, and developing a comprehensive budget plan that aligns with organizational goals.

  • Continuous Improvement: Develop and refine financial controls, processes, and systems to improve the accuracy and efficiency of IT financial management. Implement best practices in IT financial management and procurement.

 

What You Will Need on That Journey:
 

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT financial management, controlling, or a similar role.

  • Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis. Experience in IT budgeting, financial reporting, and cost optimization is essential.

  • Familiarity with IT procurement processes, software asset management (license management), and the IT landscape. Understanding of IT service management (ITSM) and IT financial management (ITFM) frameworks is a plus.

  • Preferably, knowledge in managing financial aspects such as budget planning, procurement, cost center report, etc. in SAP ERP/S/4HANA.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate it into actionable insights and recommendations.

  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Meticulous attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and quality in financial reporting and analysis.

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment, collaborating with IT, Finance, Procurement, and other stakeholders.

  • Proficiency in financial management software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Experience with IT financial management tools is an advantage.

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or ITIL certification in IT Financial Management are desirable.

  • Fluency in both English and Arabic are essential.
