For our location in Cairo, we are looking for an experienced leader to head our hardware and software device development teams. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for overseeing resource planning, driving local hiring initiatives, and ensuring efficient management, all while representing sonnen within the local business network. 

 

What you will do to help drive energy transition:

 

  • Lead and manage hardware and software device development teams in Egypt, planning, overseeing resources, and aligning engineering allocations with project needs

  • Drive the local recruitment process and facilitate the professional growth of your team members

  • Ensure the fulfillment of skill requirements in line with demand, fostering a culture of growth, drive, collaboration and alignment across functions

  • Manage project resources efficiently to optimize operational efficiency

  • Act as a representative of sonnen within the local business ecosystem and talent communities, including engagement with universities

 

What you will need on this journey:

 

  • University degree in engineering, computer science, or related disciplines

  • Proven track record of leadership in leading development teams, with a focus on energy technology or renewable energy preferred

  • Expertise in software and/or hardware development, with emphasis on mechanical design

  • Demonstrated experience in budgeting and effective resource management

  • Experience in working in an international environment and strong project management skills to effectively coordinate and execute development projects

  • Exceptional communication skills

  • Fluency in English and Arabic required, proficiency in German considered advantageous
