What you will do to help drive energy transition

  • You will take ownership of implementing a sourcing strategy for the categories and components in our solar and battery storage offerings and developing a negotiation strategy to ensure effective supplier collaboration and optimal sourcing terms and conditions
  • You will monitor industry trends and identify changes and developments in buyer and supplier markets to ensure sonnen remains competitive by assessing and mitigating risks to the business
  • To develop and implement initiatives as well as projects, you will take on the management of cross-functional component teams to ensure that safety, quality, delivery, cost and sustainability requirements are met as well as to ensure long-term supply continuity
  • You will develop a comprehensive understanding of value-added manufacturing processes and costs, as well as reverse logistics and market intelligence to influence sonnen's future product roadmap and sourcing decisions


What you will need on that journey

  • University degree in business administration, engineering, economics, or comparable education
  • Initial experience in a procurement-focused role in an industrial and/or manufacturing company. 
  • Passion for procurement - initial experience and skills in negotiating, contracting, report writing, and researching the procurement base
  • Strategic mindset, relationship building skills, and analytical abilities
  • Ability and desire to contribute to business direction, strategy and execution 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
  • Highly motivated, results and method oriented with proven influencing skills 
  • A proactive self-starter and change driver
