Your Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for creating our new technical / backend platform in the Digital area, enabling and supporting the rapid growth of the sonnen customer base.
  • You design our Cloud infrastructure, supporting our software engineers throughout the entire development life cycle.
  • You connect existing enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management solutions to the technical architecture platform.
  • You enable our business applications to provide input to our data lake.
  • You plan for highly available, scalable architectures, taking all relevant aspects into account, including economic and any other non-technical constraints.  
  • You align architectural and product decisions with senior management.



Your Profile:

  • Familiar with AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • You have a proven track record in designing and implementing scalable and resilient enterprise-grade architectures.
  • You are holding a degree in computer science. 
  • 5+ years work experience; with 3+ years in technical architecture.
  • A solid understanding of modern software development principles and methodologies is a must.
  • Familiarity with established architectural standards and -notations will support your role as a key focal point in advising our development organization.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and project management tools for software development (e.g. Git Issues, Wrike).
  • You know how to work with Infrastructure-as-Code and test-driven Continuous Integration and -Deployment.
  • Highly proficient in Linux.
  • Strong hands-on coding experience.
  • Strong Java development skills and experience in building highly scalable applications: 5 years minimum.
  • Experience building REST APIs and enterprise integrations.
  • Strong knowledge of /experience with cloud (AWS), DevOps, infrastructure, security.
  • Excellent project management and people management skills.
  • You are an excellent communicator and capable of discussing technical subjects to non-technical stakeholders as well as deep diving into technical issues with respective audiences.
  • You have excellent English language skills as well as a solid mastery of German.



Desirable Experience:

  • Experience with scalable and reliable technical architectures.
  • Expert knowledge in at least some of these software products and technologies is a plus:, Mulesoft, Salesforce, SAP, Ansible, RabbitMQ, Elixir, Java, LAMB-Stack, Cockroach.
